(BENTON, IL) — The Franklin County Treasurer has announced that he is resigning effective the end of this month.  John Gulley will submit his resignation at the Franklin County Board meeting on Feb. 21. Gulley has been appointed Controller at Rend Lake College effective March 1. Gulley has been Franklin County Treasurer for over 10 years. He was first elected in 2006, then again in 2010 and 2014. Gulley says he will miss his work family, but is excited about his new opportunity at Rend Lake College. The County Board will have 60 days to appoint Gulley’s successor.
