Connie A. Brandibas, 77, of Iuka, Illinois, passed away at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday, April 28, 2026, at Mt. Vernon Countryside Manor in Mount Vernon, Illinois.

She was born on May 14, 1948, in DuQuoin, Illinois, the daughter of James and Edith (Ferguson) Clark.

On August 12, 1967, Connie married Joseph “Joe” Brandibas in DuQuoin, Illinois. Together they shared many years of marriage, and she dearly loved her husband and family.

Connie spent her working years as a head cashier at Iuka State Bank before her retirement. She was a devoted member of Iuka General Baptist Church, where she faithfully served as church treasurer for many years. Connie was also active in the ladies group at the church and had a special love for children.

She will be remembered for her kind heart, her dedication to her church, and the love she showed to her family and friends.

Connie is survived by her husband, Joseph Emil Brandibas of Iuka; her children, Joseph Brandibas Jr. and wife Jackie, and James Eli Brandibas; her brother, Larry Clark and wife Vickie; her sister in- laws, Pam Clark and Frances Clark; as well as her special friends, Vickie and Buddy Groome and Stella Wiehle.

She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Edith Clark; her brothers, Chuck Clark, Jimmy Dale Clark, and Mike Clark; sister in-law, Fern Clark; and nieces, Norma, Becky, Cindy, Tammy, and Cheryl.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 noon on Monday, May 4, 2026, at Iuka General Baptist Church with Tracy Bennett officiating. Burial will follow at Iuka Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
