The Illinois Department of Transportation is asking for public input on proposed improvements along Illinois 127 in Washington County. The project focuses on the stretch from Illinois 15 to the westbound ramps of Interstate 64, including areas in Nashville and surrounding rural sections.
A public meeting is scheduled for Wednesday from 4 to 7 p.m. at Nashville Community High School. Officials say the study will look at ways to improve traffic safety and mobility through the corridor. Residents can review project materials, speak with engineers, and submit comments during the open house. Written, email, and phone comments will also be accepted through May 13 as part of the official project record.
