Joan M. Hollon, born on October 21, 1938, in Boalsburg, PA, passed away on November 15, 2025, at the age of 87. Known as a thoughtful person throughout her life, she touched countless lives with her kindness and compassion.

Survivors include her stepchildren; a grandson, Shawn Overmiller; her sister, Virgina Hartzell, along with her family at the Rusty Nail in Salem.

Joan was preceded in death by her parents, Stanley and Elizabeth Hartzell; her husband, Robert Hollon Jr.; two sons, Steven and Sheldon Overmiller; and her siblings, Barbara E. Hartzell, Mary E. Hartzell, Glenn C. Hartzell, Paul C. Hartzell, and Stanley Hartzell.

Joan was a devoted member of the Odin First Christian Church.

Funeral services for Joan M. Hollon will be held on Wednesday, November 19, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at the Odin First Christian Church with Chuck Smith officiating.  There will be a visitation held at the church on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service.  Burial will follow at Valhalla Cemetery in Belleville, Illinois.  Memorial contributions can be made to Habitat for Humanity or the Odin First Christian Church and will be received at the church or at Crouse Funeral Home in Salem who is assisting the family with arrangements.  Online condolences and memories can be left at www.CrouseFH.com.
