WASHINGTON COUNTY – Two crashes were reported Sunday on westbound I-64 at mile marker 59 in Washington County.
According to Illinois State Police, around 3:36 p.m., a Toyota Camry was merging when the wheels locked up and the driver lost control of the vehicle. The car went off the road to the right and began to flip until it came to rest in a corn field. No injuries were reported.
Then just after 4 p.m., a pickup truck rear-ended a minivan as traffic was slowing due to the previous crash. The pickup driver, their passenger along with the minivan driver and their three passengers were all taken to an area hospital with injuries.
