Connie Kunstman, age 60 of Salem, passed away on Wednesday, June 18, 2025, at HSHS St. John’s Hospital in Springfield. Connie was born on May 2, 1965, in Fairfield, Illinois, the daughter of Fred and Fannie May (Merritt) Duvall. She married Michael Kunstman on October 31, 2008, in Salem and he survives in Salem. In addition to her husband, she is survived by six children, Nichole Podergois and husband Frank of Salem, Brandy Santiago of Centralia, Damon Deboer of Chicago, Silver Kunstman of Centralia, Michael Kunstman II of Salem, and Krisjewlynna Kunstman of Salem; nine grandchildren; and one great-grandchild on the way. She was preceded in death by her parents. Connie worked for Foster’s Salvage as a scale master and record keeper. She enjoyed BINGO, Pokémon GO, camping and taking care of animals. A Celebration of Life for Connie Kunstman will be held at 2:00 pm on Monday, June 23, 2025, at Crouse Funeral Home in Salem.
