Mallory M. Lankford, 31, of Dix, passed away Tuesday, May 20, 2025, at her home.

Mallory was born May 26, 1993, in Mt. Vernon, the daughter of Anthony and Toni (Reese) Lankford.

Mallory was a light to everyone who knew her.  She had an internal joy that radiated through her infectious smile.  Despite her physical limitations Mallory enjoyed drawing and abstract painting for several years.  She always looked forward to trips to Florida and spending time on the beach.  Mallory never met a dog she didn’t immediately love, including her dog, Pepper.  She was an avid Cardinals and Blues fan, and enjoyed listening to music and going to concerts.  Mallory was always up for any social engagement with family or friends.

Mallory is survived by her parents, Anthony and Toni Lankford of Dix; grandmother, Sharon Reese of Dix; aunt, Vicki Lowry and husband Eddie of Edwardsville; uncle, Gary Lankford and wife Cheryl of Walnut Hill; and many cousins.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Dale Reese and William and Ruth (Page) Lankford; and several aunts and uncles.

Funeral services for Mallory will be held at 12:00 p.m. (noon), Saturday, May 24, 2025, at Logan Street Baptist Church, in Mt. Vernon.  Burial will follow at Mt. Vernon Memorial Gardens.  Visitation will be held Saturday, May 24, 2025, from 10:00am until the hour service, at the church.  Memorial gifts may be made to Logan Street Baptist Church, and Variety the Children’s Charity of St. Louis, and will be accepted at the service, or by mail to the Osborn Funeral Home, P.O.
