Carolyn Sue (Brown) Smith, born to Edna Elizabeth Brown on June 6, 1946 in Mount Vernon, Illinois. Sue married Marshall Owen Smith in Mount Vernon, Illinois on October 28, 1963. He survives.

Sue is also survived by her daughter, Michelle Lynn Smith of Mount Vernon, Illinois, a son, Michael Owen Smith and wife, Elisha of Mount Vernon, Illinois, siblings, Robert Keef, Ruth Ann Keef, and Helen Klevorn, two granddaughters, Makayla Lynn Smith of Burbank, California and Miah Elisabeth Smith of Mount Vernon, Illinois.

Sue was preceded in death by two sisters, Sharon Louise Carlton and Karen Jean Howell.

Sue loved the Lord and attended Howard Community Church in Mount Vernon, Illinois when she was able.

A Graveside Service will be held Tuesday, September 10, 2024 at 11:00 am at Hopewell Cemetery in Mount Vernon, Illinois with Bishop Brian Mixon officiating. Interment will follow. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Carolyn’s honor to Howard Chapel Church at Hughey Funeral Home.
