MARION COUNTY — Heavy recent rains have led to flooding conditions in many locations around our listening area and even flood warnings in some communities.

As is usual in Marion County, Brick Hill Road just east of Central City was underwater in spots and is unpassable. Also as usual in these conditions, people have tried to drive through the flooded spots on Brick Hill and have become stranded.

Authorities urge drivers to not take the chance to drive through water across roadways. Find another route. People becoming trapped in the floodwaters will be rescued. Their vehicle; however, will be left until the water subsides.
