SOUTHERN ILLINOIS — United Way of South Central Illinois shared some happy news for our area.

According to Executive Director Natalie Shook, they’ve received a huge food donation from Henkels & McCoy, a leading infrastructure construction firm.

Shook says this major contribution will have a significant impact on United Way’s efforts to combat food insecurity within our region, specifically in Jefferson, Marion, and Washington counties.

Henkels & McCoy donated a variety of non-perishable food items, including essentials like flour, sugar, juice, applesauce, peanut butter, jelly, and an assortment of canned foods.

Shook explained the donated goods will be utilized at United Way Tiny Pantry locations throughout the region.
