A 17-year-old Vandalia teen was killed in a one-vehicle accident Sunday evening in Fayette County.

According to the Fayette County Coroner’s Office, Olivia M. Blain was pronounced dead at the crash scene on U.S. Route 51 just north of Vandalia.

An investigation into the crash is active. The Vandalia Fire Department, Fayette County Sheriff’s Office, and Illinois Department of Natural Resources responded to the scene, along with the Fayette County Coroner’s Office.
