NASHVILLE, Ill. –Nashville police are asking the public for help in identifying a male subject who was seen breaking into a vehicle in the 800 block of West Vernor Street.

According to police reports, around 6:37 a.m. Wednesday, officers responded to West Vernor on a report of a male subject who left the area in a black sedan after the alleged victim had caught him in the act of breaking into their vehicle.

The suspect vehicle is described as a black sedan with a rear passenger-side window broken out and covered with a black trash bag. The subject is described as a black man in his 20s with dreadlocks. He was last seen climbing into the passenger seat of the suspect vehicle.
