Allura Linda Smith, 81, of Mount Vernon, Illinois, passed away on March 17, 2023 at SSM Health DePaul Hospital in Bridgeton, Missouri. She was born July 8, 1941 in Chicago, Illinois to the late Tom and Ruby (Shipley) Lean. Early in Linda’s life, her mother, Ruby married Curtis Isaac and he raised Linda with Ruby. Linda married Ronald Smith on November 9, 1968 and he survives.

Linda is survived by her children, Tanya Eblen, Curtis Smith and wife, Pam, and Daniel O. Smith and wife, Laura, all of Mount Vernon, Illinois; grandchildren, Amanda Sears and husband, Shawn, Bobby Hayes, Jr and wife, Beth, Emma Wynn and husband, Chad, Jacob Smith, Cale Smith, and Adrian Modglin; great-grandchildren, Shae Sears, Sloan Sears, Jace Hayes, Aspen Hayes, Lily Wynn, and Kainin Wynn; brothers, Tom Lean and Bobby Lean; sister, Patti Williams; and niece, Lana Buck.

In addition to her parents, Linda was preceded in death by her daughter, Leilani Hayes.

Alongside her husband, Linda proudly served the Mount Vernon community at the Silver Streak Bar for thirty-three years. She loved quilting, oil paintings, and ceramics. Allura enjoyed golfing and loved to dance. She will be greatly missed.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
