MARION COUNTY, IL — A 32-year-old Kinmundy woman is scheduled to be sentenced Tuesday in Marion County Court for sexual assault of a child and creating child pornography. Vickie Odem pleaded guilty in April to two of six counts accusing her of sexually assaulting a child under the age of 13 and creating child pornography of a victim under the age of 13.

Odem has remained in the Marion County Jail since her arrest nearly two years ago in Clay County on a $500,000 Marion County warrant charging her with two Class X felony counts of predatory criminal sexual assault of a victim under the age of 6 and four Class X felony counts child pornography depicting a child under the age of 13. A pre-sentencing investigation ordered for sentencing is believed to be completed so sentencing should be handed down at Tuesday’s scheduled hearing.

Class X felonies are punishable by between six and thirty years in prison and are not probation able.
