MT. VERNON, IL — A 30-year-old Iuka man was sentenced Tuesday in Jefferson County Court to 10 years in prison after he pleaded guilty to delivery of methamphetamine. Brandon Rogozinski was charged with Class X felony delivery of between 15 and 100 grams of meth following his arrest by Jefferson County Sheriff’s deputies in January 2021 after he was found near a separate operation that had resulted in the arrests of multiple people on drug charges.

Rogozinski was remanded to the custody of the Jefferson County Jail following his Tuesday guilty plea. He remains there awaiting a possible plea in a Marion County case charging him with Class 1 felony possession of between 15 and 100 grams of meth. He was arrested in that case by Centralia police who allegedly found him, his wife and another person living in a Centralia storage unit and an investigation into the situation resulted in the discovery of the meth. He’s next scheduled for a May 26 hearing in that case and two others in Marion County.

The other charges include Class 2 felony delivery of less than 5 grams of meth, Class 2 felony being a felon in possession of a firearm and Class 3 felony possession of less than five grams of meth.
