CARLYLE, IL — A bomb threat resulted in Carlyle junior and senior high school students being evacuated Tuesday afternoon to softball field.
Police blocked off all entrances to the buildings after receiving the threat.
However, a search of the buildings by the Illinois Secretary of State Bomb Squad and local law enforcement did not result in explosive devices being located in the school buildings and students were allowed to return to class.
