Virginia “Ginny” F. Skelton, 89, of Mount Vernon, Illinois, passed away on April 14, 2022 at Lavender Ridge Dignified Memory Care in Mount Vernon, Illinois.
She was born February 12, 1933 in Tamaroa, Illinois to the late Albert and Lula (Dolan) Kuhl. Ginny married Charles Robert “Bob” Hall and he preceded her in death. She later married John E. Skelton and he preceded her in death. Ginny is survived by her son, Sean Hall and wife, Gayla of Mount Vernon, Illinois; daughter, Cheryl Nichols and husband, Jeff of Mount Vernon, Illinois; grandchildren, Kacie Huson and husband, John, Jamie Nichols, Charles Robert Hall and wife, CaeLee, Joey Hall, and Chelsea Nichols; and great-granddaughter, Charlotte Hall.
In addition to her parents, Ginny was preceded in death by her four brothers and one sister. Ginny worked at Kmart for many years. She volunteered at Angels on Assignment and was a member of Meadowbrook Christian Church. She loved her family, especially her grandchildren.
A Visitation will be held Saturday, April 16, 2022 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at Mount Vernon Memorial Gardens Chapel in Woodlawn, Illinois. A Funeral Service will begin at 11:00 am with Reverend Michael Sheets officiating. Interment will follow.
