MARION, IL — A California man was injured in a semi crash Wednesday night in Williamson County.

According to Illinois State Police, 52-year-old Roman Baker of San Diego was driving north on I-57 near milepost 44 just after 10pm, when for unknown reasons, Baker’s semi overturned in the roadway blocking both northbound lanes. Baker was ejected from the semi and taken by ambulance to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. ISP says the roadway was closed so the semi could be removed with one lane opening up at 11:30 p.m. Both northbound lanes opened at 2:30 a.m. Thursday.

Baker was cited for Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol.
