ODIN, IL — A domestic disagreement reportedly led to a stabbing Saturday afternoon in Odin. According to the Marion County Sheriff’s Department, 24-year-old Jareth Wilson was arrested for aggravated domestic battery and his 19-year-old girlfriend Kona Gajewski, of Centralia, was arrested for misdemeanor domestic battery after an alleged incident that ended in her step-father Charles Adams of Odin being stabbed at his home.
Around 4:30pm, Gajewski allegedly shoved Adams before Wilson jumped on top of him and stabbed him once with a pocket knife. Wilson and Gajewski had left the home on rural Farthing Road but were later located and taken into custody following a traffic stop in Central City. Marion County Sheriff’s officials say the incident occurred at the home of the alleged victim Charles Adams on the Farthing Road in rural Odin.
Adams was taken to Salem Township Hospital for treatment of his injuries. The pocket knife has reportedly been recovered.
