WAYNE COUNTY, IL — A Missouri man was injured in a two-vehicle crash on I-64 in Wayne County Monday afternoon.

According to Illinois State Police, a semi-trailer combination driven by 58-year-old Raymond Davis of Beaufort, MO was driving west in the driving lane on I-64 a half-mile west of milepost 107 as a car driven by 23-year-old Brandon Kleine of St. Louis was driving in the same location behind Davis. Kleine fell asleep and struck the rear of Davis’ semi trailer. Kleine was taken by ambulance to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Davis was not injured.

Kleine was cited for Failure to Reduce Speed to Avoid an Accident and Operating an Uninsured Motor Vehicle.
