CENTRALIA, IL — A domestic disagreement reportedly led to a report Tuesday of a vehicle stolen in Centralia with children inside.

According to Centralia Police Chief Greg Dodson, they received a call of a car being stolen with three children inside. Dodson says his officers made a felony stop on the vehicle at Hickory near McCord and a suspect was taken into custody. All three children were inside the vehicle and were unharmed. However, the driver was the boyfriend of the caller and had left in the vehicle following a disagreement between the two. He was arrested on charges of child endangerment, and resisting arrest.

The girlfriend isn’t necessarily off the hook, though. Dodson says it’s possible she could be charged with filing a false report.
