BENTON, IL — Franklin County State’s Attorney Abby Dinn announced Monday that 19 more people have been indicted in Franklin County on 31 felony charges of Unlawful Delivery of Methamphetamine, raising the total to 38 alleged meth dealers indicted in Franklin County in 2021.

Dinn says the most recent Indictments were handed down by a Grand Jury on Friday. Many of the defendants have been apprehended according to Dinn. The undercover investigations spanned 6 months and were conducted by the Southern Illinois Drug Task Force (SIDTF) using Special Agents of the Illinois State Police, designated officers and representatives from Franklin County Sheriff’s Department, West Frankfort Police Department, Zeigler Police Department, Christopher Police Department, West City Police Department and confidential sources.
