CARBONDALE, IL — A Carbondale man has been charged in connection with a possible arson that was reported in the 800 block of West Mill Street Tuesday.

According to Carbondale Police, officers along with an arson investigator from the Carbondale Fire Department responded to the scene. During the course of the investigation, investigators learned that at 2 a.m., 72-year-old Aaron J. Miller of Carbondale, set a fire near the door of a dwelling causing damage. No injuries were reported.

Investigators arrested Miller and charged him with Aggravated Arson. Miller is lodged in the Jackson County Jail.
