ILLINOIS (RFD) — A tornado outbreak last Friday saw meteorologists head to the record books.
They referred to one system as the Quad-State Tornado, which caused destruction and mass fatalities in a path stretching through Arkansas, Missouri, Tennessee, and Kentucky. It was nearly 100 years ago that another multi-state tornado, called the Tri-State Tornado caused mass devastation through Missouri, Illinois, and Indiana says Dan Hicks with Freese-Notis Weather.
Last Friday’s Quad-State Tornado has resulted in at least 70 fatalities. A separate storm caused six deaths at an Amazon warehouse facility near Edwardsville, IL.
