CENTRALIA, IL — A traffic stop Friday in the 400 block of North Sycamore Street in Centralia reportedly resulted in the arrests of two men on felony drug charges. According to Centralia police, 42-year-old Lawrence Johnson, and 42-year-old Mark McClain, both of Centralia, were passengers in a vehicle stopped Friday in Centralia where cannabis and 27 Ecstasy pills were discovered. Neither man would reportedly admit the drugs were theirs.
Both men were arrested for alleged possession of cannabis and a controlled substance, in addition to manufacture with the intent to deliver a controlled substance and delivery of between 30 to 500 grams of cannabis.
Johnson was additionally arrested on an outstanding federal warrant.
