MT. VERNON, IL — Beginning November 1, 2021, and until further notice, Jaycee Lake will be closed to the public. The City of Mt. Vernon will be lowering the level of the lake in an attempt to manage vegetation growing in and around Jaycee Lake.

The City will make another announcement when the lake is ready to be re-opened.
