SPRINGFIELD, IL — Another set of legislative maps are out for state lawmakers. The new maps and the pending Tuesday vote on them isn’t making Republicans happy. Democrat’s had to redraw the maps after trying to beat a state constitutional deadline.
The lead Republican on the issue, Representative Tim Butler, says the maps weren’t done the right way the first time and shouldn’t be drawn again by the majority Democrats.
The Special Session to approve the maps will be underway on Tuesday at the State House.
