CENTRALIA, IL — Marion County Sheriff’s deputies arrested two people Saturday afternoon after they allegedly attacked a man in his trailer parked outside their home in Centralia. According to reports, 53-year-old Stacy Kniser and 59-year-old Kenneth Powell allegedly entered the man’s camper that was parked next to their house in the 1100 block of North College Street.

Kniser allegedly entered the camper first and began choking the man while he slept. The man reportedly woke and struck Kniser with a wooden bat beside his bed. Powell then allegedly entered the camper and began striking the man. Kniser was taken to SSM Health St. Mary’s Hospital for treatment of injuries from being struck with the bat Deputies later took her into custody and transported her to the Marion County Jail on a charge of aggravated battery and on an outstanding Clinton County traffic warrant.

Powell was ultimately located at home and was also transported to the Marion County Jail on a charge of aggravated battery and on an outstanding traffic warrant.
