WASHINGTON, D.C. — A Central Illinois lawmaker is “disappointed” he’s no longer on the January 6th commission to investigate the capitol insurrection.
House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy picked U.S. Rep. Rodney Davis to serve on the panel. However, Minority Leader McCarthy pulled all five of his appointees, including Davis, in protest against House Speaker Nancy Pelosi.
The Taylorville Republican said the investigation committee was “tainted.”
Davis said he wished he was serving on the committee to answer questions that he does not think are going to be asked.
The goal of the committee is to determine how and why a capital insurrection occurred.
