WALTONVILLE, IL — IDOT says there will be a road closure for some railroad work on Illinois 148 south of Waltonville later this month.

Beginning at 7 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 21, crews from the Canadian National/Illinois Central Railroad will be removing the overhead railroad trestle over Illinois 148 one mile south of Waltonville. This project should be finished by Sunday, Aug. 22 at 7 p.m.

No traffic will be allowed through the work zone. To avoid this area, you should use the marked detour that will be set up using Illinois 154 and Illinois 37.
