JEFFERSON COUNTY, IL — Bail has been set at $200,000 for a 43-year-old Bluford man accused of sexual assault. Donald W. Dolgner was charged Thursday in Jefferson County Court with Class 1 felony criminal sexual assault by force.

Jefferson County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Dolgner Tuesday after they received a complaint of the alleged sexual assault of a juvenile. Following an investigation, Dolgner was taken into custody, brought to the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office, and incarcerated on the felony charge of Criminal Sexual Assault. He was advised in court Thursday of the charge against him and possible sentencing if he’s convicted. A Class 1 felony is punishable by between four and 15 years in prison.

Dolgner is next scheduled to appear in court on the charge Tuesday for a preliminary hearing and a first appearance with a court appointed attorney.

The investigation into the case is ongoing.
