MARION COUNTY, IL — Two men have been charged in Marion County Court with two counts each of Class 2 felony burglary following their arrests last week by Sandoval police. According to Sandoval Police Chief Joe Lyons, 19-year-old Jayce Simpson, of Sandoval, and 20-year-old Christopher Bennett, of Centralia, were arrested Friday following a brief investigation into criminal damage at the Sandoval Laundromat and car wash.

They were charged in Marion County Court Monday with Class 4 felony criminal damage in connection with that incident. Lyons says he believes the two men were involved in other incidents around the county that led to the burglary charges filed Tuesday.

His agency arrested Simpson and Bennett in connection with an alleged incident that took place on Thursday.
