CENTRALIA, IL — A 50-year-old Centralia man was formally charged this morning in Marion County Court with felony meth-related offenses. Jackie T. Scanlon was arrested early Thursday morning when Centralia police stopped him on West Broadway for a reported traffic offense.

During a search of vehicle Scanlon was a passenger in, officers reportedly located approximately 40 grams of meth along with a substance believed to be either heroin of fentanyl. He was charged Friday with Class X felony delivery of between 15 and 100 grams of meth and Class 1 felony possession of between 15 and 100 grams of meth.

Scanlon remains in the Marion County Jail with bail set at $250,000.
