NASHVILLE, IL — Nashville police continue to investigate two burglaries of local pharmacies last month after arresting three individuals in connection with the incidents. According to the Nashville Illinois Police Department, during the early morning hours of Friday, June 18th and Friday, July 2nd, Doehring’s Pharmacy and the Nashville Pharmacy were both victim to burglaries.

During each burglary, a male suspect threw a rock or brick through the glass to make entry. Once inside, he apparently took several hundred dollars in Pseudoephedrine from each business. Over the next few weeks, police spent several hours investigating the burglaries and conducting surveillance on the suspect. Early Tuesday morning, NPD officers took the suspect into custody and later in the day a warrant was issued for his arrest on two counts of burglary and two counts of theft. Police also conducted a search warrant on this individual’s apartment in Nashville where further contraband was recovered. This subject was additionally charged with unlawful possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia.

The same day, NPD then conducted a second related search warrant to a residence in Nashville. As a result of this search warrant, officers arrested two individuals. Both individuals were charged with unlawful possession of methamphetamine, unlawful possession of a controlled substance (suspected fentanyl), unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia and unlawful possession of hypodermic syringes. One resident was additionally charged with unlawful possession of ammunition by a felon. At this time, police are not releasing names of the suspects as these investigations are ongoing.

All suspects were taken to the Washington County Jail and currently held on felony holds.
