JEFFERSON COUNTY, IL — A 46-year old Mt. Vernon man was sentenced in Jefferson County court Thursday to 35 years in prison on 7 counts of Possession of child Pornography Depicting a Victim under 13 years of age.

Gregory A. Garrison was handed the sentence as a result of a complaint generated on August 25th, 2020 by the Mt. Vernon Police Department, who asked JCSO detectives assigned to the Illinois Crimes Against Children Task Force to assist in the investigation.
