SOUTHERN ILLINOIS (WBC/DANA COMM.) — As preparations continue to gear up for the fourth annual Southern Illinois Made Products Expo on Oct. 9 and 10 in Marion, State Sen. Dale Fowler is joining together with the Southern Illinois Chambers of Commerce and the Southern Illinois Honor Flight to make an exciting announcement about this year’s Expo charity.
Senator Fowler says in past years, the Southern Illinois Made Expo has been such a blessing to the event’s chosen charity, the Southern Illinois Honor Flight. The senator says the support and generosity shown by the community has never ceased to amaze. The senator says now, as they are gearing up to bring this event back bigger and better than before, they are looking to expand to another great cause in the region.
In previous years, the Southern Illinois Honor Flight has been the named charity of the Southern Illinois Made Expo. However, with the blessing of the Honor Flight organization, the senator is bringing on a new charity for this year’s event, Operation Honor Guard, which seeks to raise money for veteran service organizations that provide military funerals for fallen veterans.
