CENTRALIA, IL — A 28-year-old Centralia man is in the Marion County Jail following his early Friday morning arrest during a drug raid on a Centralia home. According to Centralia Police Chief Greg Dodson, around 6:22a.m., the Centralia Police Department in conjunction with the FBI Drug Task Force executed a search warrant in the 800 block of Martin Luther King Drive in Centralia and arrested Duan M. During the search of the residences, Brown was taken into custody and transported to the Marion County Jail for Delivery of a Controlled Substance.
Dodson says officers also seized a firearm and a large quantity of various calibers ammunition. He explains the operation was the result of an ongoing investigation conducted by the Centralia Police and local law enforcement officers assigned to the Federal Drug Task Force. The operation involved officers from the Carlyle Police Department, Clinton County Sheriff’s Department, Salem Police Department, Marion County Sheriff’s Department, Wamac Police Department, Central City Police Department and the Centralia Police Department.
