CENTRALIA, IL — Bail has been set at $150,000 for a 30-year-old Centralia man arrested Wednesday morning in a Centralia motel room where police reportedly discovered a large quantity of drugs. Lonnie Williamson Jr., was formally charged Thursday in Marion County Court with two Class X felonies for manufacture with the intent to distribute between 15 and 100 grams of fentanyl and delivery of between 100 and 400 grams of methamphetamine.

Williamson was one of five people arrested Wednesday after Centralia police stopped stopped 37-year-old Ian Meredith, of Salem, near the intersection of Poplar and Calumet in Centralia. Meredith told officers they could find 49-year-old Sean Meredith, who was wanted on an outstanding warrant, at the Centralia Motel. Sean Meredith was found in the hotel room, along with Williamson, 39-year-old Aida Almodovar, and 25-year-old Amber Tolliver. Police also reported finding 130 grams of methamphetamine, 82 grams of fentanyl, 235 capsules believed to contain fentanyl, loaded hypodermic syringes, digital scales and packaging all in open view in the room.

Williamson is next scheduled in court June 10 for a preliminary hearing and first appearance on the charges with his court appointed attorney.

Ian Meredith has been charged with Class 4 felony possession of a controlled substance, and Sean Meredith has been charged with failing to report as a sexually dangerous person.v
