SALEM, IL — A 26-year-old Salem man was arrested Thursday morning on a warrant out of Georgia charging him with two counts of sexual exploitation of children and obscene internet contact with a child. Salem police arrested Jack Weidner at his home in the Starlight Mobile Home Park after Coweta, Georgia Sheriff’s Department officials notified them a no bond warrant had been issued for his arrest.

Salem Police Detectives say they had been contacted by Georgia officials on December 19th for assistance in an investigation involving a 15-year-old male Georgia juvenile boy.  Salem Police interviewed Weidner at their request and made the arrest from a no bond warrant had been issued for his arrest.
