CENTRALIA, IL — Two people were arrested Wednesday night following a vehicle and foot pursuits with Centralia police. According to reports, officers went to a residence in the 1200 block of South Walnut looking for 26-year-old Nathan Felton who was wanted on two warrants for failure to appear in court.

When officers arrived, Felton reportedly fled on foot. His girlfriend, 19-year-old Chelsea Wickman-Lentz then reportedly began driving around the area with Felton ultimately jumping into her vehicle, which then led to a vehicle pursuit on North Geary Street. Felton ultimately left the vehicle and attempted to again flee on foot but was apprehended. As officers were placing Felton in handcuffs, Felton allegedly injured one officer, leading to an additional charge. Wickman-Lentz was arrested for obstructing justice, aggravated fleeing and eluding, reckless driving, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Both were taken to the Marion County Jail.
