CENTRALIA, IL — A 19-year-old Irvington man was arrested late Saturday night following a high-speed pursuit with Centralia police. Isaak Clark of East Superior was arrested for aggravated fleeing and eluding, driving under the influence, reckless driving, resisting or obstructing arrest and possession of cannabis.

The pursuit began around 10:32pm when a Centralia police officer attempted to stop a silver BMW after it was observed parked at a residence in the 500 block of Kristy Drive. The pursuit went southbound on Airport Road where speeds were reported at more than 100 mph. After taking officers on a lengthy pursuit, Clark reportedly crashed the vehicle in a field at the intersection of Copple and Race Track roads.

As the officer approached, Clark reportedly sped away before driving through yards, and crashing into a tree in the 300 block of North Pine just missing a house. It was at this time when he was taken into custody.
