Bost Supports COVID Relief Bill

Bost Supports COVID Relief Bill

WITHERS BROADCASTING — Illinois Congressman Mike Bost has voted in support of end-of-year government funding and COVID-19 relief legislation. The bipartisan bill includes funding for the Paycheck Protection Program, vaccine and testing funding, and $600 direct payments for adults and dependents.

Bost says it will provide working Americans, small businesses, and frontline workers relief from the COVID-19 pandemic.

Also included in the bill is money for childcare centers and schools to help them safely reopen, for farmers, broadband funding, and substance abuse programs.

The Senate has also passed the bill, and now awaits the President’s signature. However, President Donald Trump called the bill a “disgrace” Tuesday and is demanding lawmakers raise the second round of stimulus checks to $2,000 per person, from $600. He also cited the lack of actual covid relief funding and too much foreign aid instead of aid to the US.
