HAMILTON COUNTY, IL — A McLeansboro resident was recently arrested on drug-related charges after Hamilton County 911 got a call about a reckless driver driving in the wrong lane of traffic on Illinois 14 west of McLeansboro on Monday night, Nov. 30.
According to McLeansboro Police Chief Nathan Taylor, officers located the suspect vehicle and saw the vehicle cross the center line multiple times. A traffic stop was conducted and an investigation into the incident began. As a result the driver, 18-year-old Alexis Taylor, was arrested for driving under the influence of drugs, illegal possession of alcohol by a minor and improper lane usage. Two juvenile passengers were released into the custody of their legal guardians. Taylor posted the required bond and was released from custody.
