MT. VERNON WOMAN INJURED IN WEEKEND CRASH IN WILLIAMSON COUNTY

MARION, IL — A Mt. Vernon woman was involved in a traffic crash early Saturday morning in Williamson County.

According to Illinois State Police, 35-year-old Holly Stewart was driving a 2006 tan Ford Taurus south on Illinois 148 near Grassy Road just before 5:30 a.m. when she ran off the road to the right and overturned. She was ejected from the car and taken by ambulance to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Stewart was cited for driving while license revoked, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, improper lane usage, failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident and failure to wear a seatbelt by a driver.
