SICF begins 1st Annual GiveSI Campaign to give back to Southern Illinois Non-Profits

SOUTHERN ILLINOIS (WBC/DANA COMM.) — GiveSI is a community day of giving for all of Southern Illinois in conjunction with the global movement Giving Tuesday. The 30-hour community block of giving supporting nonprofits as well as growing philanthropy in the 17 southernmost counties of Illinois begins Monday, November 30th, at 6pm and runs through the day on December 1st.

Michelle Snyder is with the Southern Illinois Community Foundation and is the Program Manager for GIVE SI. She says these non-profits can be eligible to apply for matching funds based on the donations made during this time.

MasterCard, Visa, Discover and American Express donations received through GiveSI.org. You can also visit the GiveSI.org homepage to download and print a donation form. Complete the form indicating the organization(s), and donation amount(s), then write a single check for the total amount payable to “SICF.” Checks can be mailed to Southern Illinois Community Foundation, PO Box 1772, Marion, IL 62959.
