BREESE, IL — Local authorities are searching for a missing Breese man last seen Wednesday at his home in Breese.

According to the Breese Police Department, 79-year-old Charles “Charlie” Koerkenmeier was last seen around 12:30 p.m. Wednesday, November 11, at his home at 97 South Main Street in Breese.

At 6:30 p.m. Thursday, after searching for several hours, Charlie’s family notified the Breese Police Department that he was missing. There are no clues as to his whereabouts.

Charlie is a cancer patient and has a medical condition that requires a colostomy bag. It appears he has not taken his prescription medication and in addition to his medication, Charlie left his walled and ID at home. He may have been emotionally distraught.

Charlie is described as a 79-year-old man, approximately 5-feet 8-inches tall, weighing approximately 130 pounds, with gray hair and blue eyes.

He was last seen wearing a plaid shirt, black slacks, a tan “Ford” jacket and black dress shoes. He may be driving a 2007 white Ford F-150 extended cab pickup truck with Illinois license plate 89476B.
