Harvest is in Sight for Area Farmers

SOUTHERN ILLINOIS — It isn’t officially fall, but many farmers are looking at starting harvest in the next few weeks. Many crops in the area are looking very good in 2020.

Saline and Gallatin County Farm Bureau Manager Marisa Davis says some farmers in the area have already started harvesting.

Davis is urging residents to get back in the mindset of watching for farm equipment on the road. She says there will be more tractors and other equipment out and about and to give them plenty of space and patience as they are on the roads.
