MT. VERNON, IL — Mt. Vernon will see its first adult-use recreational cannabis dispensary come this fall. Thrive is awaiting formal approval and licensing that has been slowed by the pandemic so they can open the doors by their estimated October 1st opening date.
Owner Gorgi Naumovski says other than typical construction delays, he and his wife’s now 5th overall location is ready to receive product and get the process started.
Rosie Naumovski is a southern Illinois native. She says the goal of their business is to provide relief for an under served area of the state.
The Mt. Vernon location on 45th Street is set as of now for recreational use only. However, medical card holders are permitted to buy products, but at the recreational tax rate.
