WAYNE COUNTY — A 57-year-old Belle Rive man facing charges in Jefferson County of Class X felony delivery of methamphetamine was released from the Wayne County Jail Tuesday after posting bond on charges accusing him of driving while license revoked and aggravated fleeing police.

Bradley Gammon was arrested on the Wayne County charges last week and was released after posting $5,000 cash bond Tuesday.

At the time of his Wayne County arrest, Gammon was free after posting $10,000 cash bond in Jefferson County on June 26.

He had been arrested in the Jefferson County case in early June following a traffic stop in Mt. Vernon after a Mt. Vernon officer knew Gammon’s license was revoked.

Gammon was on parole from the Illinois Department of Corrections at the time of the traffic stop.

He was released to parole in November after pleading guilty in 2017 to a Class 3 felony charge of possession of meth. He served two years of a five-year sentence.

An inspection of the vehicle Gammon was driving reportedly revealed 65 grams of methamphetamine, a digital scale, drug paraphernalia, and currency.

He was additionally charged with meth delivery between 15 and 100 grams and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Gammon is scheduled for a preliminary hearing Tuesday in Jefferson County on the delivery charge.
