Illinois Supreme Court moves Clay Co. civil cases against Pritzker to Sangamon County

CLAY COUNTY, IL — A number of court cases filed in southern Illinois against Governor JB Pritzker are going to be moved to Springfield. The cases filed by Thomas DeVore will be heard in the capitol city after a decision by the Illinois Supreme Court.

And now in Clay County the Governor is facing an Indirect Civil Contempt motion.

The end result is a request to place the Governor in the Clay County jail for continuing to file Executive Orders connected to COVID-19 since Judge Michael McHaney ruled against Pritzker on July 2nd.
